I am passionate about teaching. Across all my research roles, I have proactively sought out opportunities to engage with students – whether that’s through designing and delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervising research dissertations, or supporting students as a personal tutor. I find great joy in breaking down complex concepts in ways that feel accessible and meaningful. I’m especially interested in learner-centred, inclusive approaches that draw from psychological and educational research, and I’m always exploring creative ways to embed theory and evidence into my teaching practice.

Student testimonials
Research Supervision
“She was really good at responding quickly to any queries, and her constructive feedback was extremely detailed, highlighting examples of how to change certain aspects. She was caring and concerned the whole way through about our wellbeing and was flexible in adapting meetings based on our individual needs and demands of the project.”
“Providing specific examples of how I could improve, instead of just picking out on flaws […] the feedback provides a sense of direction is super helpful. Also the range- there were comments related to my writing style, picking up on things I had been doing my whole degree which had not been picked up before […] It was one of the first times I felt like the marker actually wants me to do well.”
“You create a safe and non-judgmental environment. You use your expertise in a way that builds us up […] I just get a feeling that you genuinely really want to help and see us succeed, not just because it’s in your job description.”
“Hannah was a great supervisor. She gave presentations on how to write each section of the report, gave advice, feedback, held weekly journal clubs and was super accessible and had prompt responses. I absolutely loved being under her supervision.”
“I had been dreading this project since my first year but with your guidance it has been a very smooth journey that I really enjoyed and will always cherish.”
