Dr Hannah Slack

BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD, FHEA

I’m the Research and Involvement Manager at The McPin Foundation, working across mental health research projects to embed lived experience at every stage. I lead the development of Public, Patient Involvement & Engagement (PPIE) and peer research plans for large-scale grants and fellowships (e.g., NIHR, Wellcome), support recruitment and engagement for lived experience advisory panels. I bring a strong research background in student loneliness and wellbeing, with expertise in mixed methods. My broader interests include the impact of using GenAI chatbot tools for informal emotional support on mental wellbeing, inclusive research and pedagogy, and adverse childhood experiences.
